Parasite Jazz is a French non-jazz trio playing imaginary movie scores with drums, drum machines, violin, synth, ocarinas & voices. They stand for non-simple musical madness, navigating between a dozen of etiquettes from undecided space rock to motorik-infused-dub, medieval folk, cartoon trance – everything that fits psychedelia and half-improvisation signifiers. Parasite Jazz emerged in 2016 in the smoke of a suspicious performance on Simple Music TV. An improvised and protean artifact at birth, the project settled down at the end of 2020 as the trio Axel Larsen, Constance Chlore and Tamara Goukassova) in Marseille, although other musicians often join on for various projects.
