Peenoise are two brothers from Belgium creating mysterious avant-pop and experimental music. Gilles Vandecaveye-Pinoy and Cesar De Sutter-Pinoy have been making music together since childhood. Their music sounds ominous, catastrophic, but also warm and infectious. They are fresh, playful and unique. They released their first EP in 2017 and have since released two albums, with a new one coming up in autumn 2024, moving more and more into an instrumental direction, only using the human voice sporadically as a contemplation on life. In Peenoise’s universe, humor, darkness and surrealism coexist. As they thread between gloom and bliss, Peenoise conjures up an inviting sense of melancholy, with absurd and alienating touches along the way. They also make music for theater productions and television series.
