FRIDAY 13:00 – 17:00
SATURDAY/SUNDAY 13:00 – 19:00

Scientist, musician and instrument builder Daniel Jodocy hails from Eastern Belgium, but moved to New York in 1997. He has recorded with musicians, artists and bands such as Jonas Mekas, Bill Frisell, Q Tip, John Zorn, Art Baron and many more. He is a member of the Dizzy Ventilators project and also works for David Byrne’s American Utopia show on Broadway. Jodocy will be artist-in-residence for the Meakusma Festival and will present his Soundboxgarden project in which instruments play themselves, revealing their sensual nature and conjuring up a sonic massage that is contemplative and engaging. The tactile, mechanical processes are limited to the parts of the instruments interacting with each other, allowing the visitor to passively admire them, like watching a bird warble in the park. Soundboxgarden is uncrowded in every sense of the term, allowing the visitor to immerse themselves without overwhelming themselves.
