Olaf Karnik, born 1962, lives in Cologne as a freelancing journalist and author for Neue Zürcher Zeitung, WDR 3, Spex, Deutschlandfunk a.o. He has published articles, radio features and books about hauntology, dub, sound effects, library music, experimental music in Italy, reggae in Germany and afro-american pop music, has been working as a university lecturer since 2009 and as curator for club events and lectures on music. He played in various bands and has been spinning records since 1985. Currently he is hosting his own DJ radio show ‘Do The Wrong Thing’ on 674FM in Cologne.
